Representative questions that can be answered with this resource:

  • What does an Air Traffic Support person do?
  • What is involved in combat engineering?
  • What specialities assist in aircraft maintainance?

This is a listing of job class titles in the US Marine Corps. Strangely these titles were not linked to any information as of January 2014. You have two approaches. You can search the occupation titles in your favorite search engine, which may bring up job descriptions from military friendly sites, though I can’t vouch for the accuracy of these descriptions. You’ll want to check the source of the listings.

Alternatively, you could try the Marine Corps Career tool at https://www.marines.com/becoming-a-marine/career-tool/overview. You’ll first have to choose between officer and enlisted. Then you’ll need to answer some questions after which the web site will show you videos in job specialities it thinks you may like. The videos will feature someone in the speciality talking in general terms about their work.
